Robin’s Career Journey

I take pride in sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through my experiences in the dental field.

What were you doing prior to entering the dental field?

I have spent my career in customer service - formerly working at a telemarketing company and also serving tables and bartending.

What inspired you to enter the dental field?

Dr. Timothy Johnston saw potential in me for an open dental assistant role in the early stages of his dental practice in the early 1990’s.

What advice do you have for anyone thinking of entering the dental field?

Remember to always be a team player, this will make your day happier and your job more fufulling.

Explain your career path since entering the dental field.

I’ve had the privilege of spending my entire 33-year dental career at Norge Dental Center with Dr. Johnston. Over the years, I’ve held various roles within the dental office, including chair side dental assistant, lab tech, front desk coordinator, insurance coordinator, and currently, the Office Manager.

What do you enjoy most about being an instructor for Today’s Dentist Assisting School?

Throughout the years I have watched dentistry evolve, welcoming new techniques and procedures each year. I take pride in sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through my experiences.
