Kayla’s Career Journey

I fell in love with the dental field immediately.

Being surrounded with such an encouraging environment of instructors made all the difference for my learning experience.

Where were you doing before entering the dental field?

I was a member of a cleaning company that performed residential and commercial cleaning services.

What was your experience like going through the Dental Assisting School?

My experience going through the school was amazing. It was nice to have a group of likeminded students to learn and work with while being surrounded with such an encouraging environment of instructors.

Why did you choose Today’s Dentist Dental Assisting School program?

I chose Today’s Dentist because I was referred by a family member who spoke very highly of the program. I was looking for a new start in a different career and decided to give it a try and fell in love immediately.

What advice do you have for anyone thinking of entering the dental field?

My advice is to absolutely check it out! You may find a career you never knew you would love so much. I had no interest in the dental field prior to attending the school but I quickly realized it was my calling and I’ve truly enjoyed dental assisting and making such a difference in patients lives.

Explain your career path since graduating from the program.

Since graduating from the program I have gained a great deal of experience and found my niche in dentistry. I began as a dental hygiene assistant at a local office. From there, I moved on to become a dental assistant at several neighboring offices. For the past five years I have been a dental assistant at Norge Dental Center as well as an instructor for Today’s Dentist Assisting School since 2018.
